Overcoming Acrophobia

The earth spins madly halfway around its orbit.
A heart goes along for the experience,
soon clinging on for dear life in unexpected vertigo
and I doubt it will regain legs meant for terra firma.
It surpassed all levels of the atmosphere
and will not be reeled in,
no matter how alluring the bate.
It has traveled at the same break neck speeds, though
sometimes steady, sometimes tottering
near the edge of something unknown,
groping for balance, scarcely remembering that
there is no gravity in the heavens.
Just hold on and don’t look down;
Euphoria is found here.
